Ellipsis is an AD—WO project, designed, planted, and constructed as a part of Exhibit Columbus 2025.

Ellipsis inhabits the footprint of the former Irwin Block site, emptied by fire in 2022, as a space for collective memory, gathering, and reflection. Framing absence through elliptical geometries and charred timber, the project honors Black and Indigenous histories of Indiana with prairie plantings and fire-treated poplar columns that speak to cycles of destruction and renewal, transforming loss into grounds for renewa and resilience.
